Often working directly from nature she interprets unassuming greenspace and inconspicuous tangles of branches and weeds to capture ephemeral moments. Inspired by the spaces between plants and air or the layered texture of new growth on old ground, she draws with her paint, layering, blocking out, and scratching through the surface in a celebration of sensory mark making. Rebecca earned her BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she later oversaw sales in multiple galleries. Her work has been exhibited regionally, including at Abington Art Center, Rehoboth Art League, and Wayne Art Center. She has been the recipient of multiple Artist Opportunity Awards from the Delaware Division of the Arts.
